Established in 2018 by a select group of deeply committed sports enthusiasts, the Johor Triathlon Association quickly rose to prominence as the unequivocal governing authority for Triathlon, Duathlon, Aquathlon, and other Olympic-affiliated multisport events within the state. Strategically situated in Johor—a locale renowned for its rich cultural heritage and breathtaking natural landscapes—and advantaged by its proximity to Singapore, the Association serves as a critical hub in the regional sporting infrastructure.

Elevating Johor's sporting acclaim to international levels, the state has successfully hosted an array of prestigious multisport events. These include the IRONMAN 70.3 Desaru Coast, 5150 Desaru Coast, 113 Triathlon, and National Championships. The anticipated Challenge Malaysia Triathlon in 2024 and the ongoing South East Asia Triathlon Association (SEATA) Series further underscore its commitment to elevating the multisport landscape.
